Cognitive Robotics Project

Cognitive Robotics involves the design, development and implementation of models of cognitive functions that involve reasoning about goals, perception, actions, the mental states of other agents, and collaboration.

We established a Robot Soccer Team UTS Unleashed! 2003. The team won the Australian Open Championship in 2004 and are the number one international team wit the best overal performance at the Robot Soccer World Cup which was held in Lisbon at the same time as EURO2004.

The Robot Soccer domain provides a rich environment for us to explore deep and fundamental issues related to perception, sensor data fusion, knowledge representation, high level deliberation, agent communication and colloboration.
